The Venice Carnevale

The art of masquerading is celebrated every year in the glorious city of Venice for a few weeks every January and February in order to celebrate ‘Carnivale’ (literally meaning a time ‘without meat’). This is when the entire city embraces the opulence and traditions of times gone by and everybody on the island bathes in the rich history and culture of Venetian. Everybody and anybody can take part simply with the aid of a mask, some finery and the excuse to promenade and show off a little.
